Festas Juninas have a long tradition throughout Brazil, but are particularly popular in the Northeast, home of Forró. They are rural folk festivals to celebrate the end of the rainy season.
The highlight of every Festa Junina is the Quadrilha, a dance performance!
On July 1st Forró in Karlsruhe e.V., celebrates its Festa Junina at the Veggiezz. We want to perform a quadrilha there. And you can join in!
Our dance teacher Fábio Reis will rehearse a choreography with a fixed dance group of maximum 12 couples. The 3 practice evenings are Monday (June 12th, 19th and 26th), from 8pm to 10pm at the Veggiezz. Participation is free!
The prerequisite is that you can participate in all 3 dates and you will come to the party on July 1st. The rehearsal is open level.
We only have a maximum of 24 placed for 12 leaders and 12 followers. You can already register as a couple, but you are also welcome to register alone, we will then arrange a dance partner for you. Click here for registration:
