Class Schedules and Concept
Valmir and Bruna are teaching their four Forró levels: Beginners, Intermediate (I & II) and Advanced. They have developed their own forró style and gladly shared it with us. In their course, Bruna and Valmir place a strong emphasis on body awareness — both in the basic step and throughout various movements and variations. In doing so, they explain the different musical styles of Forró and integrate musicality into the dance.

About Bruna and Valmir
Valmir and Bruna have been living in Stuttgart for some years now and are actively building up the Forró scene in the surrounding area. They are also available for private lessons.

Bruna and Valmir began their dance careers at the renowned Forró dance school Pé Descalço in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
After reaching the school’s highest level, Bruna was recruited as an instructor in 2016 and, that same year, taught her first workshop at Brazil’s largest Forró festival in Itaúnas. Since then, she has taught at various branches of the school and conducted workshops at festivals throughout Brazil and Europe.
Valmir began taking his first dance classes at the age of 14, and today he is one of the most renowned Forró instructors worldwide. His style is technically highly sophisticated and is characterized by clear, fluid movements and a distinctive interpretation of rhythm and melody. Anyone searching for Forró on YouTube simply cannot miss him: with 53 million views, the video of his performance with Juzinha at the 2014 Forró de Domingo Festival in Stuttgart is the most-watched Forró video of all time.
